Yesterday I began a project I've never tackled before in crocheting. I carefully read the pattern and attempted the stitches. But, when I came to the end of a row, something wasn't right. I re-read the pattern, pulled out stitches and tried again. At the end of the row, it still was not right. Again, I returned to the pattern and read once more. After the stitches were pulled out, I began a third time and this time I finished the row correctly. The writer of the pattern had a specific design in mind and I had to interpret the pattern in the way the writer intended.
Why is it we understand that when it comes to following a pattern in crafts, but many people do not understand the concept in the Bible. God was the Creator of the Church. He wrote the pattern and Jesus built it. We must follow the pattern the way God intended it or the church will not be His Church.
Simply a Christian. "Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ." (1 Corinthians 11:1) "Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing." (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
