"5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways." James 1:5-8 NKJV
But what specifically should we ask for when we pray? I'd like to begin a series of articles that will give us six things for which we need to petition our Father. My main point for each article will spell the word WISDOM so that you can keep these in mind as you pray. Join me each week for the next five weeks as we learn about this topic.
This week, our first point is Warriors. We need to pray that we can raise our children to be warriors for God.
"Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one’s youth." Psalm 127:4 NKJV
"10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." Ephesians 6:10-13 NKJV
